After more than 40 years of TfD practice on the African continent, the return of TfD to one of its roots in Nigeria signifies the need for new momentum. Drawing from my experience as a performer-animateur (Perfani), storyteller, and critic, this keynote address revisits the past origins and practices of TfD and its prospects and challenges. The address calls for an end to complacency, domestication, and careerism and sets out a new agenda for greater efficacy.
