About the Journal

JCASE is a unique periodic publication created to bring unique ideas at the intersection of creative arts and social enterprise. The creative arts exist in different realms, and the notion of “social good” remains central to its mission. As the creative arts seek to thrive, questions of sustainability, capital, management, and investment remain critical. Thus, the intersection and conflux of creative arts and social enterprise may offer fresh insights into ways to rethink, reshape, and reformat the creative arts. It invites us to question and reimagine narratives, processes, and discourses in the creative arts, and to reimagine their future through a different set of lenses.

This journal offers researchers, artists, policy makers, and practitioners across disciplines at different stages of their careers to think together and reimagine what’s possible when the creative arts consider social enterprise as an outlet to experiment.

Further, JCASE embraces the Festival of Arts and Discourse’s spirit of ‘town and gown’ meet. Thus, JCASE welcomes writing styles that draw readers, authors and audiences from diverse backgrounds. JCASE understands that publishing can be challenging; therefore, we offer different sections to encourage broad-based thinking and perspectives. JCASE publishes both traditional and non-traditional formats

  1.  Article (4,500-6000 words)
  2.  Case study (3500-5000 words)
  3.  Practitioner’s Diary (3000-4000 words)
  4.  Review (1500-2000 words)
  5. *Monograph (10000-20000 words)

*Monograph is for extended articles with a minimum of 10000 words. Authors are required to have a prior conversation with the editor before submitting a manuscript.

Finally, authors do not pay to publish in JCASE. However, accepted authors will pay a “token fee” to cover costs for honoraria for peer review, copyediting, and administrative support. The cost depends on context, region, and economy of the authors.
